Kotlin based social carsharing Android application with Node.JS backend

In our fast-paced world, people want to get the most comfortable, fastest, and cheapest way from point A to point B. As we walk in the streets, we see smartphones in the hands of people who are usually used for meaningless things, but today many features can be added to these devices with different applications. Most of the people travel by using their own car or using crowd-access facilities. In many cases, because of the delays in trains and buses and the large traffic jams, they make our everyday lives quite inconvenient.

This document describes the steps for creating an app that provides social car sharing services for people with Android operating systems. When designing the system, there were many design details, such as the database, server-side components, and the Android application itself. I used different, well-developed technology solutions for these. Using this application, users can organize joint trips, thus reducing the saturation of roads and improving the utilization of cars. Such a system will not only make traveling more comfortable, but it also has the power to build a community.

My application and related creations can help the traveling people in the future, and in the long run, the expenses of solo drivers are also reduced by sharing them with others. Many people believe that this is the future of transport.
