In the XXI. century, our presence on the World Wide Web is of prime importance in terms of success and development. From large multinational companies to small enterprises, the support provided by information systems significantly determines their achievement. Consider a restaurant’s internal information system, where serving, reservation, and invoicing run smoothly and fast, or the introductory page of a small enterprise, with which the company keeps pace with the world.
The first step of the establishment of all of these systems and applications is the nation that, in the beginning, there is a set of ideas, wishes, and conceptions, and which grows into an organized, unified and complete requirement specification. I development process is supported by a web application, in which the participants, the process and the requirements of the future system are stored and represented in a unified and well-ordered form. This provides the customer a chance to supplement and prioritize the requirements. The application co-operates with the customer during the planning stage. Furthermore, it also functions as an easy-to-use input data source in the process of development owing to the structured and complex storage as well as the diverse exportation opportunities.
In this thesis, I explore the most important steps and challenges of requirement engineering, give the broad outlines of the technology and detail the reasons of establishments of the application that I designed, the process development from the setup of the database to the user-friendly graphical interface.
