The IT support has become an important part of the business planning of sports clubs. The visualization tools, that support ball games, allow efficient modelling of complex situations, offensive and defensive strategies, which help to design and selection of the appropriate tactics.
In my thesis, I aim to design and implement an application that performs the visualization of tactical elements of a ball game. In addition, I implement a real-time algorithm, which supports tactical planning. The chosen ball game is the football, and the application can assist team coaches by comparing and analyzing of different formations.
In the beginning of my thesis I review the basic tools of the visualization, which can be used to design the application and I describe the main characteristics of football, which will also be taken into account in the design. Then I survey the requirements of the application and I review the similar solutions on the market, and their possible weaknesses. After this I design the system, mentioning the potential solutions for the necessary components. Then I implement the planned system and the end of the thesis I test the operation of it.
