Development of MIDI controller on STM platform

Nowadays MIDI controllers reached higher popularity as ever expected. At the beginning MIDI protocol was used to connect electrical music instruments and computers together. Today they are used not only in sound and light technique but photographers can easily edit their pictures with assistance of it. By the help of these controllers to control photo editing software can be much easier. The topic of my thesis was to develop and produce a MIDI controller which conducts on the general protocol basis, but its peripheral allocation serves the demand of a picture editing software. The aim of my thesis was to produce such a hardware what can accelerate the photo edition.

After writing the specification – taking time and material resources in consideration - I started to construct the prototype.

It’s very important that the device should communicate through an USB with the computer and do not need any other power supply. Even the restricted budget I had created the minimal sized hardware with ergonomic knowledge.
