The purpose of my thesis is to describe the high availability base virtualization technologies and examine it in the aspect of increasing availability for example the Microsoft Hyper-V, Vmware ESXi and Xen.

In the first part of my thesis I will examine the demands of high availability systems from the view of host and guest OS’s and resource utilizing.

In the second part I will design and implement a cluster management system concerning the needs and demands of resources.

Finally I will analyse the test environment designed for this project.
