In my thesys I present the status of the power distribution system of the based on Budapest Metro line 4 and analyse the structure of the power distribution system. This includes both of the high and the low voltage level parts. I present the most important equipments of the power supply system with their main properties and parameters. I interpret the power factor correction and present the it’s preconditions, the designing aspects, the arising problem of harmonics, those solutions and the traditional and power electronical methods of the power factor correction. Than I analyse a stations auxiliary equipments in the view point of reactive power.
Related to my work I illustrate the directions of the expected flow of reactive power. I analyse the used power factor corrector exuipments at the Budapest Metro line 4 and present those designing aspects. Finally I present an arising problem of installing the phase corrector and also it’s solution at Station Bocskai út of Budapest Metro Line 4.
