At the beginning of the 21st century, they already started to deal with the digitalisation of agriculture and the precision farming in Hungary as well. Since the agricultural capabilities of the country are above average, modernisation is inevitable in this particular sector if we would like to compete with Europe’s great countries concerning the quality and quantity of production in order to acquire the title of „Europe’s pantry” again. The application of precision methods can enhance the efficiency of production up to 25 percent, thus, the yield of a given bearing surface can even increase with a quarter.
The AgrárPortál is a complex agricultural web portal which facilitates the work of farmers. It gives them the opportunity to register their lands and record data sent by sensors situated in the ground. Moreover, the portal provides a web shop function where farmers can advertise their crops and obtain the additional tools needed for production.
In my thesis, I deal with the latter online web shop function, within that, I explain the visualisation of the product and of the distributors of the product. Moreover, I examine the process of purchase from the moment of placing the product into the shopping cart, to applying the discounts, until the finalisation of the purchase order. The merit of the implemented function is that the farmers and customers can replace a reconciliation process, which could take several hours, with just some clicks on the internet.
