Microcontroller clock design

As technology develops, there are more and more electronic devices that make our daily life more comfortable, such as remote controllers, communication tools, household appliances or digital clocks. The microcontroller based intelligent clock is an improved variant of a digital clock, which can automatically update its exact time after receiving the radio signal that contains it; has a display that can visualize not only the time and date, but also various text messages; is manageable by a computer; and by setting an alarm you can easily configure, how often (yearly or on specific weekdays) it should be repeated.

In this BSc diplom work we present the steps of planning this system from the selection of parts through the composition of schematics to the software development for both the microcontrollers and the computer.

In the first chapter we summarize all the requirements on the system, then present the used parts and their selection criteria, and then detail the schematics. In the third chapter the software on the microcontrollers is described, then we present the handler program on computer.
