In these days an organization without any data asset is unimaginable. To effectively store this data you must use a relational database management system (RDBMS) as these systems allow effective data storage, manipulating and querying data efficiently. Today's most popular and widely useable relational database management system is delivered by Oracle. However, not only the data layer is covered by Oracle but we also meet with Oracle specific solutions in the middleware and user interface layers. On a longer period, a larger organization cannot avoid the set up of quality management (QA) standards for all three layers to ensure the appropriate quality of data and coding.
Handling the QA related issues is hard as on one hand you have to adapt to the newest technologies focusing on their continues development, and potential barriers, and compatibility issues. On the other hand, the environment in which the QA tasks should be dealt in needs to be well known.
In my thesis I introduce an application which helps to enforce QA standards in RDBMS related issues. I will analyse in depth the solutions until now, and will present my role in the development process and will provide ideas about the further development possibilities of the application.
