The purpose of this degree is to develope the robot environment, which can be found at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Department of Automation and Applied Informatics, in order to ensure the possibility for the students to make them familiar with hardware and software elements of the industrial robot environment.
The first chapter of the thesis gives an overview about the geographical and sectorial usage of industrial robots, and the developing tendency. Based on the analysis of the available data it can be said, that the applications of indsutrial robots will increase in the next decades, especially in the automotive industry, electronics industry and in the chemical industry.
Around the already available Mitsubishi MELFA RV-3SDB robot a complex workstation has been constructed, which consists of the following units: palletts, slide, conveyor and an assembly station. With this robot cell the cylinder workpiece set provided by FESTO can be assembled. A connection has also established with the Nokia PUMA 560 robot, which also can be found in the same location.
The software system, which is responsible for the operation of the robot cell, allows to create different workflow, using the accesible software moduls.
The implemented robot workstation makes possible for the electrical engineering students to learn an industrial robot environment, to make software development and to design and fulfill selfdetermined tasks.
