Nowadays with the widespread of the mobile devices, a tendency of integrating more and more services into a single device can be observed. In this thesis I show that these, so called monolithically designed devices suffer from multiple disadvantages. After detailing the problem in general I introduce the concept of personal mobile clouds as a possible solution. By using a valid, real-life business scenario, I explain, design and implement an example personal mobile cloud, where the cooperation of two different devices results in a more advanced service. Finally I give a small outlook about the current adaption of these mobile clouds.
