Modular lighting system with integrated RF communication

My thesis is to plan and measure a wireless, ISM (industrial, scientific and medical radio) band communication modular system. During my searching I have taken into account all of RF (radio frequency) integrated circuits and microcontrollers. As for the most important details, I have sort out some devices to compare them.

I have planned the master and slave schematics with the chosen devices. Modular system contains a master and maximum of 255 pieces slave cards. The master card is an interface between the PC and the wireless ISM band network. Power supplying is ensured by USB (Universal Serial Bus) of computer. Communication is also solved by this port with the help of VCP (Virtual Com Port).

Tasks of slave modules are driving power LEDs (Light Emitting Diode) and reporting the push button to the master. Slaves can control four power (10W) lights. Brightness is controlled by PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation).

My thesis further aims are to plan and measure the panel antenna. After this I will make the firmware, which will be tested and evaluated.
