The objective of my thesis work is to examine the integration of motion control into the IO-Link system. The task includes the conceptual development of the integration of motion control into the IO-Link system, the designing and commissioning of a specific motion control module.
In the literature review I present the IO-Link communication protocol, including the individual data types and the physical implementation. Next, you will find an overview of the industry-specific types of electrical motors. Subsequently, I specify the hardware and software requirements.
Based on the hardware requirements, it also presents the planning considerations of the schematic, the hardware components that I used, and the finished functional board model.
My further task was to design, implant and revise the printed circuit board, so I will present the results of this.
Finally, I detail the structure of the operating software.
At the end of the dissertation, I summarize the results achieved and explore the possibilities for further development.
