Since the 70s the BME-HVT Space Research Group has been participating in several space missions succesfully. For many years the Space Research Group had a strong partnership with INTERCOSMOS, also in 2004 they took part int he ROSETTA mission. In each project, the group was responsible for the satelite power management, power distribution. Between 1970 and 2010 the Space Research Group had 17 successfull satelite start, and during each mission according to the telemetry datas, there was not even a single failure in the power-subsystems, which were desigined by the group.

. After the introduction of the power protection units, which are used on satelite subsystems, the LCL (Latched Current Limiter) unit is going to be discussed thoroughly, which was designed for the ESA ESEO mission throught many semesters.
