The goal of my thesis is to create a simple multiplayer game for mobile platforms, and to generate a 3-dimensional game space from a layout image. This generated game space should be used in the multiplayer game.
Firstly, I will describe the features of the Unity framework, which are required for the basic usage. After these, I will highlight the components required for mobile development and multiplayer games.
After that, I will look into the modelling applications, which can be used to generate the game space and choose one of them.
Following that, I will demonstrate the characteristics of the layout, and choose an image processing method that can be used to identify the layout’s elements.
Based on these experiences, I will design and implement the image processing and the game space generating applications.
After that, I will design and implement a simple multiplayer game, which will use the generated game space. I will use the Unity framework to do this.
Finally, I will evaluate the applications made during my thesis and give some ideas of future development about them.
