Nowadays, web applications are becoming more and more common, both for personal and work usage. I wanted to get an insight into the world of web development, so my purpose was to create a dynamic website and get to know the technologies which were necessary.

My intention was to create an application, which also proves useful in today’s world. My experience has shown, that there are still a lot of retail services and stores, where the worktime registration is paper-based. The processing of these records is not only cumbersome and time-consuming, but they frequently contain inaccurate information. Therefore, my choice was made to a worktime register application that provides a solution for storing attendance data more accurately and makes easy to create time sheets and the summary of working hours.

In the first part of my thesis, I present the frameworks and technologies I use, then I describe the choices made during the design of the application. These are followed by the presentation of the development of the website and then the summary of my experience. The result is a web application, which is suitable for the target tasks and requires a simple interface.
