With the growing popularity of smartphones and tablets, tons of tools have become available to make the exchange of information in our daily lives much easier and more efficient. These tools enable received information to be short, easy to interpret and easy to obtain, therefore they have a great role in education. Beside science and literature, this field of education possesses great opportunities in teaching people about forms of fine art as well. For those who have visual memory, it might be the best way of learning about a painting, if information were placed directly on the painting itself.

The aim of my thesis is to demonstrate the development of a mobile application designed specifically for tablet usage, that makes it possible to interactively display any piece of information associated to a painting or picture. Apart from visualization, the tasks of the application also include downloading and storing images and data associated with them for offline usage, and keeping them up-to-date.
