Investigation of control strategies of solar collector systems

Nowadays the energy usage and production is a key issue of the humanity. As the amount of available fossil and other non-renewable resources reduce and the environmental pollution threatens both the wildlife and the mankind, people have to rely more and more on alternative solutions by the harnessing of the renewable ones. It has been a while since we started to use green power for everyday applications, but now it is the time to put the question: Could we improve the existing technologies? The aim of this project is to increase the efficiency of the solar collector systems without any modifications in the buildup of it, just by the improvement of the controller unit.

The concept is to take the basic solution that the vast majority of the devices on the market use and modify it to reach higher output by the investment of the least input energy. The new method then goes through a simulation also prepared within the confines of this project to show the behavior and benefits of it compared to the old one. The simulation also has to be compared with a real system to prove if it provides reliable results. For this reason a data processing and visualizing system has to be prepared.
