Nowadays, the mobile telecommunication sector is under deep changes since the fourth generation of mobile phone network has been introduced. The telecommunication placed on new basis wants to substantiate the success of industry through several new considerations and cutting-edge technology.
During these pages I show the theory of fourth generation mobile network OFDM radio access in accordance with LTE system.
Through the summary, I describe the theoretical background of cell network including the features of femtocell network and examine the potential of them.
After the summary, I show the steps of design of an OFDM-based femtocell resource handling. The design consists of the modeling of access channel, profiling the traffic generated by users, and last but not least, the decision-making mechanism which connects the options offered by channel to traffic demand of users.
In the second part of thesis, I describe the evaluation of femtocell resource handling in an implemented-simulated environment after the design steps have been achieved.
