Nowadays allergy is a worldwide common known disease. It is the hypersensitivity of the immune system, a special ’immediate’ reaction of the organism with high intensity, or abnormal alterated immunreaction. The allergenspecific immunotherapy (ASIT) is getting more and more widespread, and in course of time it will probably replace the conventional symptomatic treatments. The ASIT generates immuntolerance against allergens in the organism. Its advantage is that it is a long term solution and not only a temporal symptomatis treatment. I participate in a study where the patients use allergen-specific immuntherapy, a sublingual medicine. This therapeutic medicament must be taken every day regularly, and this fact leads to significant dropout of the patients.

Because the patients take the medicaments by theirselves, the good doctorpatient cooperation has priority. The co-operation of the patient (“compliance”) is an important and typical factor of the success during the immun-therapy. Compliance shows the degree of the co-operation through the therapy process. In the case of the ASIT this index is shows if the medicament is used strictly as directed. The final purpose of the study is the improvement of the co-operation during the therapy.

During this study I processed patient data, patient diaries and psychological data. The most important for me were the data showing the filling in rate of the diaries and the psychological data. During my semester I’ve studied the partition of 16 psychological variables and their descriptive statistical indicators. Beside this, I’ve categorized the patients on the basis of the dropout during the therapy in equipartition and not equipartition groups. In the end, I’ve compared the psychological profile of the dropout and not dropout patients.
