PLC software development for a specific car part manufacturing unit

In a large car factory, several various units produce different types of car parts. The unit, that I present, produces only one part of the car. The device is controlled by a Siemens PLC, and a Human Machine Interface, which runs on a local computer, is responsible for the visualization and observation of the process. It collects data about the manufacturing and technological processes for reporting and archiving.

At the beginning of my thesis, I will present the PLC family which I used, and the important functions of the development environment. Then I will write a detailed description about the device. In this description I will write about the parameters, which are important from our aspect. After that, I will present in detail the structure and operation of the PLC program. After that, I will write about the virtual commissioning, which is not widely used in Hungary. I also compare the commissioning of this project with another commissioning without virtual commissioning. I finish my essay with writing about the commissioning, the emerging problems during the test session and how I solved these problems.
