Nowadays the mobile info-communication systems and the high-tec mobile devices have become indispensable parts of everyday life of people. The support of motion, moveability, mobility has turned into a general requirement from being once an exotic service. However the new opportunities bring new tasks forward: modern users use the mobile Internet resources in a much more agressive way, longer usage time, the growing number of users, and the advanced multimedia applications increase network traffic dramatically. In order to provide scalability the network architectures including the mobility management systems move into the direction of Distributed and Dynamic Mobility Management – DMM. The promising mobility management protocol of the 3G/4G system could be the Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6), but there is no standardized DMM extension to it, although a few recommendations have been revealed. The purpose of this diploma work is to analyze these Distributed and Dynamic Mobility Management recommendations based on PMIPv6.
