In our busy world, we tend to forget about healthy lifestyle, though we have every reason not to. Beside temperature, the humidity of the air can be a relevant factor in our life. For an adult, the optimal humidity is between 40 and 60%. It is extremely important to pay attention, especially during the colder months since the air could be dryer at home, due to the heating and it's easier to get a cold because of the reduced oxygen consumption.
The subject of my thesis was to design a microcontroller-based system, which can measure the relative humidity with a sensor, and with a connected device (for instance a vaporizer or a fan) tries to keep it under the limit which the user has set.
It also has a graphical user interface on the device and can be controlled with the buttons on the board and with the help of the LCD display, or the user can connect to the board via any WiFi capable device in a browser. There, the user can view the last data that the sensor sent and set the limit he desire.
