Project management, and administrating financial information of projects and members of projects is a difficult task, which can be hardly accomplished without any kind of assistance. While performing tasks like these, an application – which stores data in a structured form, calculates balances automatically, and creates reports about the information – could offer a huge amount of support.
The development of this system took place in a three-person group. There was a formerly implemented base of the application with some functionality. I have expanded the existing components with new functions and I have created a new module which handles financial data.
The finished web application is able to manage projects. In order to make it more comprehensive it is integrated to the Team Foundation Server and Redmine version controlling systems. The financial module calculates the balances of persons including personal balances, payment requests, payments, agreements, and monthly or hourly wages as well.
