Towards the realization of protein-based computing architectures

In this work I continue the feasibility study of Coulomb coupled protein based computing architectures. In the introduction I list the developmental directions that are continued today to increase computing power. After that, by drawing attention to the limitations of which these directions will eventually face, I reason why it is necessary to look for new computing technologies.

In the following I mention those recent researches that were done on the way of developing new technologies.

After that I present the results of former Coulomb-coupled protein logic researches and introduce the model that I used in the designs. I list the main properties that support the continuation of the researches. I present the reason why it is possible to realize 3D logic structures.

After that I present a method, by the help of which it is possible to design structures that are capable of realizing multiple logic functions. The operability of the method is proved with simulations of a proposed structure.

Finally, I present the implementation of a structure that I chose from the literature. I prove it’s operation with simulations.
