Developing RFID based store protecting system

The topic I have chosen for my thesis is the development of an RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) based product defence system. My goal is to realize an experimental system that serves as basis of a complete product security system. The theft protection of a supermarket or any kind of shop or even an inventory system could be one of the exact tasks that could be realized by the utilisation of this system.

RFID is an identification system using radio frequencies that is developed to identify persons or devices automatically. My task is to develop a reader unit which helps to execute one-way data delivery between a label and a computer.

In my thesis first I describe the theoretical background of the RFID system, the different RFID technologies in detail, connecting methods and the modulations applied in RFID system. Later I shortly describe the devices I used. Finally I explain the planning process which includes the description of the program code and the opportunities for improving performance.
