Rádió transceiver hardware designing for SmartControl

Problem description:

The testing of vechicles in Mercedes-Benz factory Kecskemét will be made with Windows XP based "Porty" portable computers.

The accessory of these computers is a radio remote control, what communicates in range 900MHz ISM, including a display and a keyboard, which provides a bigger mobility to the worker during the controlling. Because of the change-over of Windows7 buying new controlling devices is required, which do not support the handling of the remote control.

Have to be done during the task:

Analysis of the radioprotokol used by SmartControl remote control

Hardware-level analysis of the current interface

Designing and fabricating of the new Windows7-compatible hardware interface

Integration of the hardware into the softwareenvironment of the tester

Completion of a german and a hungarian users manual

The requirements for the candidate:

Good german

PCB design experience

High level PC hardware knowledge

Designing of embedded systems

C programming language knowledge

Good teamplayer
