Surveillance systems can be found in many parts of the world, in my thesis I present the 619 laboratory staff's, and my work, which results a complex functional radar temperature monitoring system.
The task was to bring the temperature of the radar stations into the maintenance workers screens in the monitoring room. I did my professional experience at the customer's company, where I learned the currently used monitoring software structure and appearance. Based on already applied systems I made my design, which hopefully will be easy to use and understandable to users.
Keeping up with technology trends, the result is using Web-based visualization. The measured data (e.g. temperature of a radar's second zone) is accessible
from any computer's web browser which is connected to the company's network.
The "server" is a Raspberry Pi microcomputer, which appeared in year 2012. That runs the programs which were written during the semester. A nearby hardware handling program is written in C standard. The web queries solved by apache2, and a mySQL server manage the data transparently.
