Title: Extending the SAP PLM Mass Change Framework for Recipe Developement specification objects
I carried out my thesis at SAP Hungary Ltd. My task was to integrate the specification business object into the Mass Change (MCH) framework. The purpose of the MCH is to allow the user to select multiple objects of the same type, and make changes on them in the same time, hereby saving considerable time.
In order to successfully accomplish this, I had to study the Recipe Development (RD) which is a part of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), a solution package that SAP offers.
Within the RD the main focus is on the specification and the recipe business objects. Understanding the structure of these objects were essential to successfully solve the problem.
During the development I had to understand and apply the opportunities and techniques offered by the the PLM User Interface Framework (UIF) and the Service Provider Infrastructure (SPI)
At the start of my work the MCH framework could already handle the recipe object.
Analyzing and studying this helped me to integrate the specification object. During the planning of the solution, I used UML diagrams.
The next step was the proper implementation of these plans and the correction of the errors which were occurred during this process. Finally, I tested the application.
In this documentation I follow the above mantioned steps, detailing each of them. For better readability the appendix contains the most important screenshots and diagrams.
