Gamification is the use of game thinking and game mechanics in a non-game context to engage users and solve problems. Gamification is used in applications and processes to improve user engagement, data quality, timeliness, and learning.
Nowadays the enterprise business softwares are focused on the fastest way to offer solutions for customer requests, meanwhile they forget to implement gamification, which is a known area, but has lower priority.
My research introduces the basics of gamification and the already existing gamifications in enterprise softwares. The research also mentions and extends a big question: „Do we need gamification in our business softwares?”. A development based on own idea helps to answer this question. This existing software also makes easier to ask and measure the opinion of people from the world of business about gamification.
The title or topic of my software will be: „Using Gamification under pending time of a Business application”. The use-case: The users are bored under watching pending time animation (which is mostly a sandglass). The aim is to keep up the attention with amusement under pending time.
It is a well known „trick” in the area of PC Games. When you are waiting (for i.e.: the next level to load or the last saving) there are helpful information or pictures, hints & tips meanwhile the next screen loads. Based on this, my prototype application will try to help users forget the time spent in peding time.
The same has not been applied in the area of business softwares yet. The aim is to develop example pending time gamifications which helps my research.
