Testing and Education of the "SimPowersystem" Power Plant Investment Simulation Game

My thesis is about testing and educational application of the „SimPowerSystem” power plant investment simulation game. It is a turn-based strategy game played by multiple players. One needs to build power plants, generate energy and sell it. Once erengy is sold for profit, one can make additional investments.

In the first part of my thesis I will present the basics and structures of the game and the models used for calculations. Later this will be a guide for students who will use this program in training.

By using this version of the game I had ideas for improving and expending the game. I start by presenting the theoritical basics and then I consider applying these ideas into the game.

Second part of my thesis is about the testing of the game. I document the difficulties and summarize the experiences about the working of the game. I suggest solutions for the errors and mistakes I found in the game, and in some cases I make additional expansions. For usage in class I esigned basic starting options for the teachers who can use these options as guidance in their class.
