Software unit development for medical devices in accordance with software life-cycle process

In connection with my thesis work, I have learned about the biology of kidney function and the importance of dialysis treatment in our modern society. In this regard I had the opportunity to actively participate in the development of a dialysis machine software.

I took part in designing a low-level protective software architecture in which I also had some implementation tasks. These implementations covered the DRIVER and HAL layers on the new processor running the protective subsystem. The second part of the thesis was to design and implement a platform independent pump software module in C++ programming language. These tasks were ultimately accomplished successfully, verifying my results with tests, architectural and design plans.

During my work, I enriched systemic knowledge and got acquainted with the standards of active medical devices, requirement management, software management and testing procedures. During the process I gained a lot of experience thanks to my colleagues and technical literature that contributed greatly to my professional knowledge.
