Smartphones and tablets are available for more and more people nowadays. The number of their applications grows rapidly, and they are available for a broad area of usage. One of these fields is education, for which many successful applications were released during the past few years. However, they generally support only one specific scope, like language learning.
I wrote my thesis as part of a development team aiming to create a general educational system, which is equally able to make learning more effective for both students and teachers. It is able to manage knowledge of different fields and gives feedback in forms of quizzes.
With the interactive lecture function it can be part of the lessons: students with their iOS devices can join the classes and answer questions, guided by teachers using their own iPhones or even Apple Watches.
During the two semesters I deepened my iOS software development knowledge, created a universal application with both iPad and iPhone support, and learned the basics of Apple Watch programming. As part of a developer team, I gathered useful experience about teamwork and about the management of an application during its whole lifecycle.
