The thesis presents a domain migration of an Active Directory-based IT infrastructure at an enterprise that was induced by a name change. A new Active Directory domain is created alongside the current one and migrations happen between the old and the new domains. During this process the following currently productive base services of the IT infrastructure are moved to the new domain step-by-step with the necessary temporary interconnects:

- Active Directory services including DNS (mutual resolution between the computers' names and IP addresses) and DHCP (dynamic allocation of IP addresses to computers) services

- Exchange-based e-mail services

- File services enabling users to access files enterprise-wide

- Print services enabling users to print their documents to any networked printer

- Proxy service allowing users to access the internet

- Workstations: desktops and notebooks that users are working on
