The topic of my thesis is the planning and developing an extended calendar for menstrual period, that can be accessed through a webpage. The webpage may help the lay couples through the often mystic mechanics of the women's fertility by providing essential information to the users.
The complex nature of fertility can be explored through numerous signs and data. Although, the mathematical-statistical methods are often too complicated to the lay eye to draw conclusions, especially in problematic cases (which would give the target audience to the webpage).
Recorded fertility data may provide valuable information to determine possible setbacks. Through the development process I was aiming to design the aggregation of data in a way that may be valuable information to the doctors too. This way the webpage can be useful for both the parenting couple and the experts.
The uploaded data is analyzed and categorized and shown on the webpage in a graphic understandable way. Furthermore, it provides extra features, like the reminder in the calendar function, that can be accessed and set by the user.
The main goal in the development process was to minimalize the memory requirement of the system. To achieve that goal I’m using PHP server side programming language and MySQL database.
