The automobile industry is a very safety critical scope. To fulfill every requirement and
make a safe product into mass production, a lot of test shall be performed. For testing
these products software there are several SW-HILs at the Company. These HILs provides
the necessary environmental need for various tests, but they have different
configurations, and settings, and these settings are changing continuously. The test
execution is based on local network. The current method is difficult to trace, therefore
some infrastructural development would be useful.
The purpose of this thesis is to make more effective the scheduling of test execution and
usage of the HILs by network based test automation for SW-HIL testing, and automatic
scheduling of test execution. Collecting and analyzing test effectiveness data. Develop
automatic configuration management of test infrastructure.
The student shall include the following tasks:
- Describe how does the current infrastructure work,
- Analyze how to increase the efficiency of the existing infrastructures,
- Implement the necessary improvements.
