This work shows an application of the test process improvement models Test Maturity Model Integration (TMMi) and TPI Next (Test Process Improvement by Sogeti). It contains introductions to these models, and a software tool created to assist in the performance of TPI Next projects. The process improvement projects were performed at Lufthansa Systems Hungária Kft.
In the first section, the TMMi model is shown in detail, followed by the experiences of the assessment performed. The data related to the assessment project is shown, as well as the interpretation and presentation method of the results.
The second section, similar to the first, starts with the introduction of the TPI model, followed by a description of the assessment and improvement project performed. The planning of the assessment, interviews and feedback methods are discussed in detail.
In the third section, I compare the two methods based on the performed projects and attempt to contrast them based on the return on investment.
The fourth section shows the software tool created to support TPI processes. Mentioned are the circumstances in which the demand for such a tool arose, the steps of the original process that the tool improves and replaces, along with the phases and methods used to create the software.
