In many cases, it's necessary to provide access to complex IT services from mobile devices. The access using WEB interface seems easy, and good choice, but considering the special user interfaces of mobile devices, user experience decreases, and the service cannot be reached in offline mode too. Accordingly, a target application development is necessary. The specialized solution is naturally operating system specific, so it is important to choose the supportable platform wisely.
Today the most popular mobile platform is Android, which can be found from the cheapest to the elite cathegory products, from smartphones through tablets and notebooks, to embedded PC's (for example Raspberry Pi) in every market segment. This well documented framework is open, and straight forward. In 2013, more than one million Android devices activated daily, so this seems to be the best choice for my application.
The software I developed, is a client to the SHOPP (Stock Holding, Order, Production and Partner management software) management system, which is able to manage data of partners and its shops, able to make orders in regard of stocks, and synchronize all of the stored data with a remote database server.
The completed software is firstly designed for Samsung Galaxy TAB 2 10.1 (Android 4.0.3), but under the development period it is tested on LG NEXUS 4 (Android 4.4) mobile phone too.
