Development of the control for universal cylinder construction site

In the world of industry, the product construction is usuallly handled in large volume by construction station. For the sake of the growing quality achieved by the construction stations, and also for lowering the possibility of waste product, sometimes expansions on existing construction stations are necessary. This thesis guides the reader threw the steps of the these necessary expansions.

First, I will shortly introduce the company, than I will review the penumatic systemparts. Thereafter I will introduce the main characteristics of the air operated power cylinder assembly performed on the construction station. On the forthcoming pages we will be familiarized with the setup of the extant electric system, than the base unit of the controldevelopment called CDPX will be chosen, and its main features will be presented. I will give details about the steps executed during the physical implementation, including modifying the electrical layout, and field construction. The next step will be modifying the software configurations used by Atlas Copco equipment, called DS/DL Drive. After that the interface of the HMI will be designed by Designer Studio software. When we have finished with the previous steps, we will get to know the software called Codesys closer, which will be used to create and implement the PLC program on the CDPX.
