Trip planner web application based on MEAN stack

Over the past few years, tourism produces an increase with a measure never seen before. Millions travel every year having a rest from the fatigues of the weekdays in order to relax a little bit. The corresponding industrial branch affects the IT sector as well, the big part of various travel services are already on the word wide web.

Diverging is one of the weak point of these services. Browsing through transport services, accomodations, programs could be exhausting, nevertheless, searching for the best offer takes a lot of time. So many web applications exist vainly if the user cannot systematize his itineraries easily.

One of the solutions is to create a trip planner webservice which aggregates the different services into one and makes it available with a unified user interface. The used technology toolstack is based on a brand new approach, with which one is able to create scalable web applications only with the knowledge of the programming language JavaScript.

In my thesis I examine the possibilites provided by the MEAN architecture, and I compare its abilities, and characteristics with the most used rivals. Based on these informations, I design and implement a scalable, event based web application which is capable of increasing user experience by unifying 3rd party services’ advantages.
