Visualization of business information flow in the electronic media

In today’s information society, there is continuous need by business actors for authentic, reliable and up-to-date information. the main channels of business information are the electronic media and the message boards of the social media, from where news, announcements can be collected or extracted, which can be later be structured and checked for dependence with regard to the information contents.

The goal of the thesis work is to design and implement an electronic service that allows the monitoring of news articles that appear in RSS feeds, and is able to identify information flows.

The task is the development of a complete Java Enterprise Edition-based software application , which implements the aggregation, database storage and preprocession of the RSS feed information, and provides a web-based user interface to visualize the data for end-users.

During achieving the set out goals, we have aimed to create a modern web application, which uses fairly fresh, but quite well-established technologies.
