Nowadays, thanks to the explosive growth of information and technological evolution, peoples everyday life has changed radically. By the rapid spreading of mobile devices and consumer economy, we are able to handle all kinds of activities online, within certain limits of course. And there is one important limitation in every person's life, which is time. In today's busy life the time has an increased value, and we try to spend it in the most useful way. But in our everyday activities, we may find ourselves in situations when we have to wait in line for hours, for example when shopping in a grocery store handling a bank account or just grabbing a cup of coffee at morning.

The goal of the thesis is to design and develop a versatile order management system focusing on implementing the related mobile applications, giving a potential solution to the previously defined problem. The main purpose of the application is to reduce valuable time spent in queues by providing services to remotely place orders and real-time trace and pay for them. Furthermore, the application is capable of scanning barcodes of products and mobile payment in order to cut off the time spent at checkout counters.
