In my thesis I have designed a microcontroller based system, which controls a solid fuel boiler. In that thesis I have controlled the temperature of the water, which comes out from the boiler, with the moving of the primer airway. The hardware was planned so, that it will be capable of controlling the temperature of the flue gas.
I have also designed an indoor unit that displays the temperature of the water that outcome from the boiler and incomes to the boiler. On the indoor unit we can turn on an alarm function, that signals, when the difference from the target temperature is more than that we have set. Both units have n user-friendly menu.
In the first chapter I have chosen the parts that I needed for the design. In the second chapter I have described the connection of these elements to the circuit, and then I have designed the Printed Circuit Board. After soldering and debugging the circuit I have tested the software on the elements. After that I have written the software that will run on the whole system and I have tried one control setting. In the last chapter I have written about the development opportunities.
