Visual effects with post processing

Nowadays we often face the image, video and interactive graphical products of computer-based rendering systems manifesting as video games, movies, pictures. The data provided by the rendering can be post-processed to achieve visual effects because of various purposes. Achieving photorealistic phenomena such as the depth of field or motion blur. Affecting the imagination and perception of the recipient, using for example color mapping or toon shading. To fulfill other functional purposes, like showing the selection of an object.

The topic of this paper is on one hand to analyse these from different perspectives. Show and explain these effects, disuss the possible implementations, and also to form a comprehensive historical picture according to the different quality needs over time, in the continuously changing hardware means. The other main part of the paper is to accomplish nowadays' essential visual effects of the real-time interactive softwares, and to show their affect on the visuality.
