In everydays healthcare, doctors do not have the tools required to diagnose some mental diseases in their early enough phase. Such illnesses can only be diagnosed by analysing the results of time consuming clinical test, which are tiresome for both doctor and patient, and often it is already too late.
Information technology can be used to change this situation. The first steps have already been made: paper based tests are often replaced by tablet applications available to medical centres. But to move forward new concepts have to be discovered, which raise the odds of an earlier diagnosis with decreased costs.
The M3W project is an attempt in this direction. It aims to create a computer information system that offers the opportunity for everyday people to gain information about their mental wellness in an entertaining way: by regularly playing a wide variety of games.
After providing a system overview, this thesis documents an application that enables browser based games to be easily integrated into the M3W system.
