YouTube is a video-sharing website created in 2005, where users can upload videos without paying fees and share it with anyone on the Internet. The website is gathering more users year by year and the quantity of the uploaded content is also growing really fast. The developers are adding new features frequently based on the needs of the users and the given possibilities of the newly developed technologies. Unfortunately the content which describes the functionality is limited on the Internet. This is the reason why doing measurements and analyzing the measured data are useful. In my thesis I carry out measurements like mentioned before on Android platform using a software which was developed at Ericsson and capable to visualize the measured data. By writing my thesis I got to know how YouTube works and figured out a few explanations for the implemented features. In the first chapter I write about YouTube, introduce the basic features and how they work. The second chapter describes the measurement environment I used for the measurements. In the third chapter I show some interesting measurement results, then in the fourth chapter I add a new feature to the measurement software. In the end I sum up my work.
