Mixed reality applications and special input devices with marker tracking systems

The topic of my thesis was the use of marker tracking system based on mixed reality as a special three dimensional input device.

During the work of my thesis I found some possible uses and I created applications to demonstrate them.

I found four possible uses in two significantly different fields.

The first explored field was the world of computer games and real time animations.

My task was to design and develop a more natural control for a table football game and for an animation application based on inverse kinematics, which moves the hands of characters.

I choose the support of three dimensional modeling as the second field.

I searched for solutions to increase the work efficiency. I found two possible uses: the first one is the speed-up of the lighting designing of characters and models. The other one helps to effectively place and move the models in the Autodesk Maya's virtual world.
